Our passion to the horses has led us after some years to the Trakehnern.

We are really glad that we love by our visit of the Klosterhof Medingen the Trakehner, these noble ones and thus to person-related horses and have come to appreciate. Caprimond shows the ideal of a sports horse full of type for us.

We have intensely dealt with the history of the Trakehner and are from the achievements which have produced animals and people at the end of the 2-nd world war, deeply impresses.

We wanted to get to know these horses better and so have visited different Trakehner breeder and stud farms.

Then in February, 2001 we have met in the visit of the stud farm Sommerlade our Toscanini. A colt from a Caprimond mother. One can call it almost love at first sight. At this time Toscanini was two weeks old and he was a very smart, graziles and well the built foal who has behaved towards the person rather carefully. Toscanini has enjoyed his breeding with baroness of Lotzbeck and has developed even even better than he allowed to expect at the foal's age. Two and a half years old he was still judged as too narrow and youthful, so that we have not brought him to the Trakehner inspection. For it we gave him the necessary time to form themselves naturally to a smart riding stallion.

From beginning he was always correct in his behaviour towards the person and was friendly. Also while riding towards we were allowed to take pleasure in his really in character and his calmness. He is a sportsman of the parting up to sole - and in his black jacket a right model athlete. Toscanini is our second horse whom we have accompanied from "child legs" and for ourselves there is nothing nicer, than to see these interesting and important years in the development of a horse.
